IAF Civilian Recruitment 2026

The Indian Air Force has officially released the Group ‘C’ Civilian Recruitment 2026 Notification for various civilian posts at different Air Force Stations and Units across India. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Hindi Typist, Cook, Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver, and other Group ‘C’ categories. The recruitment process will be conducted through a written examination followed by skill, practical, or physical tests wherever applicable. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• 12th Pass from a recognized Board.
• Typing Speed:
  • English: 35 WPM
  • Hindi: 30 WPM

Hindi Typist

• 12th Pass from recognized Board.
• Hindi typing proficiency required.

Cook (Ordinary Grade)

• Matriculation Pass.
• Knowledge of Indian Cooking.
• Experience in trade preferred.

Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver

• 10th Pass from recognized Board.
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Experience in driving required.

Indian Air Force 2026 Selection Process

• Document Scrutiny: Applications are checked for age limit, minimum qualifications, documents, and certificates.
• Written Test: Eligible candidates will be issued call letters to appear for a written test.
•  Skill / Practical / Physical Test: Shortlisted candidates based on written test merit will be called for this qualifying stage.

How To Apply Online / Offline

• Visit the official website of the Indian Air Force.
• Download the official notification and application form.
• Prepare the Form: Type the application form in English or Hindi as per the provided Proforma.
• Photographs: Paste a recent passport-size photograph on the form and self-attest it. Include two additional passport-size photographs.
• Attach Documents: Attach self-attested copies of educational qualifications, age proof, technical qualifications, experience certificates, and caste/EWS/PwBD certificates if applicable.
• Envelope: Prepare a self-addressed envelope with a Rs. 10/- stamp pasted on it.
• Mailing: Write clearly on the outer envelope: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ___________ AND CATEGORY _________”. Send it to the concerned Air Force Station of your choice within 30 days of the notification’s publication.
