Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has officially released the notification for the recruitment of various technical and non-technical posts on a fixed-term contract basis for an initial period of one year. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for a total of 132 vacancies, including Junior Technical Assistant, Quality Inspector, Technicians, Vehicle Drivers, and Helpers.

The recruitment process will be conducted directly through a Walk-In-Interview. Interested and eligible candidates must ensure they fulfill the criteria and report directly for the interview at the designated venue in Visakhapatnam, along with the prescribed application form and original documents.

KRCL Walk-In Interview Schedule

Registration Time: 09.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs only on the date of walk in interview.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Junior Technical Assistant / Mechanical: Full time Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production & Industrial Engineering / Automobile / Manufacturing / Mechatronic / Material Sciences / Metallurgical Engineering from an AICTE recognized University/Institute. Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience required.
• Quality Inspector: Full time Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical fields from an AICTE recognized University/Institute. Minimum 01 year experience in inspection/QA required.
• Technician (Welder): Minimum ITI qualification in welding or welder qualification test certificate as per ISO-9006-1. Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience required.
• Technician (Fitter): ITI Certificate issued by a recognized ITI / Technical Training Institute / Government approved authority. Minimum 01 year post-qualification experience required.
• Technician (EOT Operator): 10th Pass (with 4 years experience) OR ITI Certificate (with 2 years experience in EOT crane operation).
• Vehicle Driver: 10th Pass with a valid Driving License for HMV. Minimum 02 years of post-qualification experience required.
• Lister/Forklift / Hydra Operator: ITI Certificate with minimum 02 years of relevant operating experience. Must obtain a valid driving license for the respective vehicle within 3 months of appointment.
• Office Boy/Helper/Khalasi: Minimum 10th standard pass and physically fit. Minimum 02 years post-qualification experience required.

Age Limit & Age Relaxation

• Maximum Age Limit: The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age as on 01/05/2026.
• Age Relaxation: * OBC (NCL) Candidates: 3 Years
  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
  • Ex-servicemen: Discretionary

KRCL Recruitment Selection Process

• Registration & Document Scrutiny: Candidates must register at the venue between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs on the interview date. Applications and documents will undergo preliminary screening.
• Elimination Round (Optional): Group Discussion (GD) or a written test may be introduced depending on the number of candidates.
• Walk-In Interview: Provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed by a nominated committee. Merit will be based on interview performance, qualification, and experience.
• Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass a prescribed medical examination before the contract is finalized.

Salary / Stipend Details

Consolidated monthly remuneration is inclusive of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, and Mobile Allowance.

• Junior Technical Assistant / Mechanical: ₹41,380 to ₹47,220 (Depending on City Class)
• Technician (EOT Operator): ₹27,100 to ₹30,900 (Depending on City Class)
• Office Boy/Helper/Khalasi: ₹25,700 to ₹29,300 (Depending on City Class) (Note: Annual remuneration will increase by 4% after completion of every year subject to performance and KRCL discretion.)
