Steps to Punjab & Sind Apprentice Application Filling

To ensure your application isn’t tossed out, follow this exact sequence:

  1. Step 1 (Mandatory Pre-Registration): Before going to the bank’s website, you must register and complete your profile 100% on the government apprenticeship portals: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ and https://nats.education.gov.in/. You will need the NATS enrollment ID for the bank form.
  2. Step 2: Visit the official Punjab & Sind Bank website (https://punjabandsind.bank.in/) and navigate to the “Recruitment” link.
  3. Step 3: Select only one state and one district. Submitting multiple applications will result in only the latest valid application being retained, and your previous fees will be forfeited.
  4. Step 4: Upload your documents as PDFs. You must upload a scanned photograph, signature, thumb impression, and a specific handwritten declaration. Note: You will also be required to capture a live photograph using a webcam or mobile phone during the process.
  5. Step 5: Pay the required fee online and print your system-generated application form for the document verification stage.

Important Notes Applicant Must Know

To prevent your application from being instantly rejected or your contract from being cancelled later, memorize these absolute official rules:

1. The Strict Percentage Calculation Rule

  • When entering your 12th/HSC marks, you must calculate the percentage to the nearest two decimals.
  • No Rounding Up: The bank completely ignores percentage fractions. For example, 59.99% will be officially treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%. You must aggregate marks across all semesters/years and all subjects (including optional/additional subjects) to calculate the true percentage.

2. Invalid Identity Proofs

  • During the Document Verification phase, a Ration Card and a Learner’s Driving License are NOT accepted as valid photo identity proofs.
  • Make sure you possess a standard government ID (Aadhaar, PAN Card, Passport, or Permanent Driving License) where your name matches your school certificates letter-for-letter.

3. Immediate Termination Clauses

Your training contract can be terminated instantly without notice if you are found guilty of:

  • Engaging in any other commercial business, full-time assignment, or working in an advisory capacity for any other firm while training with the bank. You must devote 100% of your professional time to the bank.
  • Misconduct, insubordination, or disclosing unauthorized internal financial data/communications to third parties.
  • Not reporting to your allotted training venue or bank branch on the exact date your On-the-Job Training (OJT) commences.

4. Leaving Early? Give Notice

  • If you find a permanent job elsewhere or must leave the 12-month apprenticeship program before its formal completion, you cannot just stop showing up. The official mandate requires you to submit a clear 15 days’ prior notice to the bank to terminate your contract legally.
